Kirsten's Summer Dress and Straw Hat (later known as Kirsten's Summer Dress when the hat was removed) was introduced to Kirsten's Collection in 1988 and retired in 2009 with Kirsten's archival. It is associated with the book Kirsten Saves the Day (not included). Blue and off-white striped short-sleeved drop-shouldered cotton dress. White piping at shoulder seams and cuffs of sleeves. Gathered waist band with horizontal stripe layout.
Front false placket and front seam. Five cream two-hole oval concentric-style buttons: three on bodice, one on waist, and one below. Back of bodice has diagonal shoulder seams. Two tucked up "growth stripes" at bottom of dress.
